Have you established the L.E.A.D. today?
I developed this mantra my freshman year of college as I went through the growing pains of being a student-athlete. It has carried me through many trials and tribulations ever since. Not only has it transformed me into the woman that I am today, but it has served as a guiding reminder, encompassing some of the highest and lowest moments of my life. Most importantly, it has taught me this; without the dark times in our lives there can be no light. Light represents knowledge, understanding, freedom, peace, and power. I aim to be just that to all that I encounter, so I decided to share this acronym for personal growth with you.
A quote I live by is, "No mud, no lotus." The beauty of the lotus flower is its struggle. Curated in muddy and swampy waters, this is where it thrives. Without that environment, its beauty could not be appreciated. It is revered because despite emerging from a dark and dirty place it blooms and radiates the world like we all have been placed on this earth to do. Establishing the lead is about finding your light, being that light, and sharing it with others.
